Product Review: Arnold Select 100% Whole Wheat Sandwich Thins
I came across a product the other day at the grocery store that I had never seen before. I'm not sure how long they have been around but they are new to me. I made a sandwich today and just loved it, so wanted to share it with you all.Arnold Select 100% Whole Wheat Sandwich Thins
Each Sandwich Thin (2 slices) are only:
100 calories
1g Fat
5g fiber
5g protein.
And for those on Weight Watchers, they are only 1 pt each.
oh and No High Fructose corn syrup either.
They are much thiner than a hamburger bun (hence the name) but a little bit rounder than one. They are soft and can fit in the toaster. And come in 3 different varieties, but I have only used the whole wheat.
Ok, so as I mentioned I decided to make a sandwich today and this is what I used:
- 1 Sandwich Thin (2 slices)
- 2 slices Deli Ham
- 1 slice 2% Swiss Cheese
- lil bit of Mayo & Mustard
- Tomato
- Onion
- Lettuce
The sandwich was so GOOD!!!! Grilling it gave it just a touch of crunch and warmed up the ham and cheese. That in combination with the cold stuff I added after I grilled it, made a Great sandwich. I am already craving another one, so will probably have it for lunch again tomorrow, maybe use turkey this time.
I really like these sandwich thins. What I like about them is that you can taste what is inside of them instead of just a mouth full of bread. I use to eat at Subway alot when I was doing weight watchers but their bread is so thick that you really can't even taste the meat and other stuff on the inside. With these sandwich thins, you get just the right amount of bread.
I have already started thinking of all the other ways I could use them. Some other items (combinations) I want to try with these are:
- mini pizzas
- grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich
- in place of a hamburger or hotdog bun
- toasted with some butter and jelly
Here's to a healthier you,
Shelly

I found those a while back as well but have used them in place of a bun for my burgers while camping. I even found a hotdog version as well. I eat bison hotdogs as they are healthier and I know what they put in them. But I have to say your sandwich looks absolutely delish! I've got to give it a try.
Thanks for sharing.

Those are great! We use them as hot dog buns all the time! :) Before they had them here on the west coast my Aunt would send them to me from NY! :)

I picked up some at the store, but saw that they had Sucralose in them. I ate them anyway, but to be honest, I didn't think they were very filling. I know lots of people rave about them, but I try not to eat anything with artificial sweetener in it (gives me headaches).

We love them!
Nice to not have a huge chunk of bread that actually stays together - even for juicy burgers with lettuce & tomato!
I frequently make mini pizzas for the kiddos with these. I find if I pop them in the toaster on the lightest setting before adding some sauce & cheese that they do not get soggy!
