Awesome Dinner - Rotisserie Chicken & Salad w/Avocado Lime Dressing
We had such an awesome dinner tonight, I wanted to share it with you.Our planned menu was to make Crockpot Rotisserie Chicken and peas. I however wanted something more exciting than peas, so decided on a green salad with a homemade dressing instead.
I tried a new recipe called "Avocado Lime Dressing" from "Green Lite Bites" (another great website). The dressing is a bit thicker than your normal dressing but I kindof just mixed it in and it was so good. I will for sure make this again. I think it would be good on a wrap as well.
The chicken turned out perfect and the salad was so good with the creamy avocado dressing. I even put alittle avocado dressing on my chicken. Yum!
For dessert we had "Chocolaty Pumpkin Bars". A great finish to an awesome dinner!

Awesome Breakfast - Whipped Banana Oatmeal
Hey everyone, I made a new oatmeal this morning for breakfast and liked it so much, I had to share it with you. It was so good! It's called "Whipped Banana Oatmeal" and I found the recipe over at "Kath Eats". She has a TON of oatmeal recipes but the one I made was the first one at the top.
Here is my bowl:
It was so creamy and good. I topped it with chopped pecans and 1 tsp. of "Dark Chocolate Dreams" peanut butter. If you haven't tried this stuff, you need to. It is so good. I found out about it in my "Eat This, Not That" book.
It was a VERY filling breakfast. I made a double batch and will see how well it reheats tomorrow morning. I'm going to top it with something else this time, not sure what yet! :)

Make Your Water Special!
Good morning everyone! I just wanted to share with you a little treat I do with my water to make it "special". If you are having a hard time drinking all your water every day, you may want to try this.I take plain water and I add "stuff" to it to give it a hint of flavor. Below are a few example combinations but the possibilities are endless.
I use a nice plastic pitcher I bought from Target and fill it with ice and whatever I am putting in it that day and then fill with water. I let it sit for about 1/2 hour and then stir it up real good with a wooden spoon. I leave this pitcher sitting on my kitchen island all day long. It looks so pretty and refreshing and makes me drink even more. Since it's sitting out, it's a constant reminder to drink. And the ice keeps it cold all day.
I do NOT add any sweetener. So it's not sweet but has a hint of flavor and for some reason is just more refreshing than plain water.
Orange, Lemon & Lime:
Cucumber:
Strawberry & Lemon (my favorite):
A few other flavors you could try:
Pineapple
Cucumber and Mint leaves
Strawberry and Oranges
Grapes and Apples
And Roni over at "Green Lite Bites" makes a Cucumber Tea I really want to try. She has a video too that shows how she does it. That is pretty much how I do my waters but I don't use tea.
Try it and see if you like it!
