Just Checking In...

WOW, why is it so hard to stay on track? Ughhh

I have no problems working out but diet is so hard and let's just say the past few days I haven't been doing well. I have had a few "good" meals here and there but I've also ate out several times. It's been so frustrating to me. I LOVE food and I love food as a form of entertaining so that makes it really hard when you are trying to shed some weight. :(

But I'm not giving up, I'm going to keep on going and keep doing my best. Like I said, I have no problems working out. I love that. In fact I spent 3 hours at the gym today doing cardio and weights. Had an Awesome workout! I tried a new cardio routine today on the treadmill and I really liked it. It's a booty workout and goes like this:

5 min. warm-up at 3.5
2 mins. at 4.0
2 mins. at 4.0 with 2 incline
2 mins at 4.0
2 mins at 4.0 with 4 incline
2 mins at 4.0
2 mins at 4.0 with 6 incline
2 mins at 4.0
2 mins. at 4.0 with 4 incline
2 mins at 4.0
2 mins at 4.0 with 2 incline

then I did a warm-down at 3.5 for 5 mins.
It was a really awesome cardio workout and I could feel it in my legs and booty! But I didn't stop there, I decided to also throw in some HIIT cardio and alternated between 3.5 and 6.5 every min. for about 8 more mins. It was a Great workout! I'm going to do this for awhile and see what results I can get with it.

Well I've had a long day and really need to hit the bed. My son has a football game tomorrow and we have to be there at 9:30 am. Fun!! :) Not sure if I'll check in over the weekend so if not, have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Here's to a healthier you,

Interval training is awesome!!! I remember reading a study (can't remember which one) that found that with interval training even when burning the same number of calories as a different type of workout more weight was lost. I assume that this is because the metabolism was raised for longer and more calories were burned from interval training after the workout!
