Just Checking In...
WOW, why is it so hard to stay on track? UghhhI have no problems working out but diet is so hard and let's just say the past few days I haven't been doing well. I have had a few "good" meals here and there but I've also ate out several times. It's been so frustrating to me. I LOVE food and I love food as a form of entertaining so that makes it really hard when you are trying to shed some weight. :(
But I'm not giving up, I'm going to keep on going and keep doing my best. Like I said, I have no problems working out. I love that. In fact I spent 3 hours at the gym today doing cardio and weights. Had an Awesome workout! I tried a new cardio routine today on the treadmill and I really liked it. It's a booty workout and goes like this:
5 min. warm-up at 3.5
2 mins. at 4.0
2 mins. at 4.0 with 2 incline
2 mins at 4.0
2 mins at 4.0 with 4 incline
2 mins at 4.0
2 mins at 4.0 with 6 incline
2 mins at 4.0
2 mins. at 4.0 with 4 incline
2 mins at 4.0
2 mins at 4.0 with 2 incline
then I did a warm-down at 3.5 for 5 mins.
It was a really awesome cardio workout and I could feel it in my legs and booty! But I didn't stop there, I decided to also throw in some HIIT cardio and alternated between 3.5 and 6.5 every min. for about 8 more mins. It was a Great workout! I'm going to do this for awhile and see what results I can get with it.
Well I've had a long day and really need to hit the bed. My son has a football game tomorrow and we have to be there at 9:30 am. Fun!! :) Not sure if I'll check in over the weekend so if not, have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Here's to a healthier you,
Shelly

Interval training is awesome!!! I remember reading a study (can't remember which one) that found that with interval training even when burning the same number of calories as a different type of workout more weight was lost. I assume that this is because the metabolism was raised for longer and more calories were burned from interval training after the workout!
